Presentations: Contractor and community partners
The Mass Save Sponsors recently gave a presentation to the contractor community in May and community partners in July, to discuss the following topics that span the residential program offerings:

  • 2022–2024 plan priorities
  • RCD, retail and HEAT Loan
  • Marketing updates
  • Community data
  • Strategic enhancements
  • Small business

If you were unable to attend the meetings, you can review recordings and the slides for contractors and community partners. If you would like to review the questions and the Sponsor’s responses, see the FAQ . The Sponsors of Mass Save remain committed to working directly with contractors and leveraging community partnerships to drive toward our goals for equitable service, strategic electrification, weatherization and workforce development.

Enhanced residential incentive updates
The following is an up-to-date list of 2022 enhanced incentives for qualified homeowners:

  • No-cost insulation upgrades
  • Removal of weatherization roadblocks
    – Knob and tube – $7,000
    – Asbestos – $4,000
    – Vermiculite – $7,000
  • Increased rebates up to $30,000 for efficient heating equipment

Please note: Weatherization is required to access heating equipment incentives. Additionally, your customers can check their eligibility using the online income verification tool.

From the policy desk
The Massachusetts DPU (Dept. of Public Utilities) has committed $3.94 billion towards heat pump incentives for residential, income-eligible and commercial customers. Requiring customers to weatherize their homes to take advantage of these incentives will continue to drive demand for weatherization. The Massachusetts 2022-2024 Plan plan also includes incentives for moderate-income residents for 100% off the cost for weatherization which reduces the barriers-to-entry for these customers and too will lead to higher weatherization demand.
