Get started today

STEP 1
Complete a home energy assessment through your municipal utility to determine whether there is opportunity for weatherization in your home.

STEP 2
Work with a participating contractor to identify and complete specific weatherization improvements.

STEP 3
Your contractor submits a virtual quality assurance form to Abode. We review the submission and approve it remotely if possible, or complete an in-home inspection and work with the contractor to resolve any work issues if needed.

STEP 4
Submit the weatherization rebate application through your MLP.

STEP 5
The rebate is processed and customers enjoy a more comfortable, efficient home.
CONCORD MUNICIPAL LIGHT REBATES
Mass Save offers no-cost home energy assessments and weatherization incentives for Concord households and businesses that currently heat with natural gas. Go to Mass Save’s website for more information.
For customers who do not heat with gas, CMLP provides no-cost home energy assessments and rebates for eligible weatherization improvements.
REBATE PROCESS
STEP 1: HOME ENERGY ASSESSMENT
A no-cost home energy assessment must be completed within the last two years. Schedule a home energy assessment with an auditor.
STEP 2: SCOPING VISIT
Work with a contractor to determine exactly what weatherization improvements can be made to the home. Participating contractors have agreed to provide standardized weatherization recommendations and pricing consistent with statewide programs. Participating contractors also adhere to the required quality assurance and rebate processes. You are not required to work with a participating contractor.
STEP 3: QUALITY ASSURANCE REVIEW
If working with a participating contractor
Your contractor will submit a virtual quality assurance form to Abode with project documentation and photos of the completed work. Abode will review the submission and approve it remotely if possible, or will schedule an in-home inspection and work with the contractor to resolve any work issues if needed.
If working with a non-participating contractor
Contact Abode to schedule an in-home weatherization inspection with an Abode inspector.
STEP 4: REBATE APPLICATION
The online rebate application must be completed by the homeowner or contractor following install. The form will ask for an invoice for the job, which can be obtained by the contractor.
REBATE RULES & REQUIREMENTS
- Energy audit required within the last two years, completed prior to weatherization install.
- Customers must apply for the rebate within 90 days of installation, as shown on the invoice/receipt date.
- Multiple applications can be submitted if the household has not yet reached its rebate cap that year.
- If you heat fully or partially with natural gas, contact Mass Save at www.MassSave.com or (800) 232-0672 about insulation rebates, no-cost air-sealing services and interest-free financing. In order to qualify for Mass Save weatherization rebates, services and financing, work must be completed by an approved contractor following a Mass Save home energy assessment. Incentives are generally provided as a deduction from the natural gas customer’s copay on the total project cost, and cannot be applied for retroactively if the work was completed outside the purview of the Mass Save program.
